The Script gave a seriously cringeworthy interview to Newsweek about terrorism... it's The Dredge
EVERY WEEKDAY MORNING, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the best of the day’s celebrity dirt from the top to the very bottom.
The Script are annoyed that Beyoncé and Jay-Z aren’t speaking out about terrorism. In an interview with Newsweek, the Dublin band revealed that their new album was inspired by, er, terrorism and condemned other artists for not being more vocal.
Singer Danny O’Donoghue slated artists for only banding together in the wake of the Manchester attacks.
We’re not convinced that an intervention by Beyoncé could stop ISIS, but okay.
Meanwhile, here are the lyrics to their new song Freedom Child:
Band Calls For Love, Not War.
Brave, controversial, etc. (Newsweek)
Ruth negga has spoken out about that shoutout she got from Meryl Streep. The Limerick actress spoke to The Edit and described the moment as “surreal”.
Elsewhere, the 35-year-old was asked about having a child and admitted that she’s rather preoccupied with the notion at the moment.

Finally, Stormzy made a surprise cameo on Love Island last night. The grime artist came face to face with Olivia who he previously slated on Twitter and it was all kinds of delightful.
Unreal.
And the rest of the day’s dirt…
